Spring means new beginnings so why not new projects?

Winter was long, but full of planning for a fiber filled spring and summer. Everything Green seems to be the thing and I don't mean the color green. Earth friendly, eco friendly and organic all are words that describe alot of what is new and exciting for the changing season.

Color and texture were also featured at the two fiber events Susan went to this winter.
Read more in the opening paragraph of the newsletter.

Events, knit-a-longs and classes will continue all summer. Sock Boot Camp, Baby Shower Knitting and our Go Green Tour will start out the summer. Later in the fall, Hip to Be Squared showcasing garments made using the Mitered Square technique of knitting will be announced followed by Therapy and Best Friends Forever. Therepy actually has bits of jadite mixed in it and details of Best Friends Forever have not yet been released.

Spring is definitely coming so you know what that means? Get ready now for the wedding and baby showers. The birthdays and special occassions which scream for a handmade gift. Try some bamboo yarn kelp or organic cotton.

Crochet is crazy hot now and fast, fast, fast. Washclothes, purses... You name it, crochet has it covered.

Needlepoint is fabulous and so easy to do. So portable for all those spring breaks and summer vaction travel coming up. To make it simple, The Stitchin Den offers finishing. Check out our needlepoint page.

Our project of the month is perfect for all the travels and hub bub of the summer. Socks are a perfect portable project. They are fun, fast and easy. Don't know how? No problem. Ready to take your knitting to the next level?

Weellll, it is easy with our next favorite sweater featured in the Interweave Knits Fall 2006. The Jawbreaker Jacket is as fabulous as the Einstein, but different in style and layout. This is just a preview of our next great sweater featured at the Sitchin' Den.

So many great sweaters, so little time.

This two needle bag is the focus of our free Knit-A-Long starting May 1st, 15th and 29th from 1PM until 3PM. Cables are not hard. Trust me!!! We will learn basic cables while making this darling bag.

The handles are made from two knitting needles so you always have an extra pair just in case of an emergency.
